How I Picked the Right Law School

I always knew that after I finished my bachelor’s degree I would pursue a graduate program, but I wasn’t sure which one I wanted.  Medical?  Business?  Law?  All seemed like great options:  each led to fantastic careers that provided great earning potential.  In the end, the only program that could offer me the skills I needed for my future, hold my interest for life, and open the doors I wanted was Law.

The first step, of course, was to apply to some schools.  I submitted applications to all the big names:  Harvard Law, Stanford, Berkely, Michigan, Viginia, Georgetown, NYU, Penn, Columbia, and Duke.  This, of course, included the application fees, but I took advantage of the  Law School Admission Council (LSAC) fee waiver to help defray my costs.  As a student, every penny counts, and this made applying a lot easier.

Advice On Hiring A Solicitor

If you become involved in a legal dispute, then it is essential that you hire a solicitor to represent you. If you represent yourself in court, then you will almost certainly lose, as an in-depth knowledge of the law is required, and that not is something that you can learn yourself (unless you have a few years spare to go to law school). The good news is that hiring a solicitor need not be difficult or overly expensive. You do need to follow some basic guidelines though…

Recommendations – Recommendations from other people are always the safest factor to base your decision on. Even if no-one you know has experience with a solicitor who deals with what you need, you still have other sources of information available to you. For example, if you need a solicitor for your business, you can ask the local chamber of commerce to recommend solicitors who have good relations with the local business community.

Recent reports show that about 50% of the marriages in the United States end in divorce. Furthermore, the rate for first marriages is 41%, second marriages go upto 60%, and when it comes to third marriages, it is a whopping 73%! Shocking isn’t it? Divorce is a bitter time for both parties because it is a tough decision to go separate ways. What complicates the situation is the presence of child/children in the house.

If you are contemplating a divorce or separation, then there are certain aspects of Dallas family law that you should have an idea about. Let us take a brief look at them:

1. If children are born out of wedlock, then a paternity problem might arise if the male denies being the father of the child. You may have to fight the case in court if the need arises.
